MMS, the children’s publishing sales agency has appointed Glasgow-based BookSource as its distribution partner, having previously been distributed by Orca in Dorset.
Independently owned publishing sales agency MMS currently represents some 27 publishers and imprints, selling their physical books and rights all around the world. Run by husband-and-wife team, Tricia and Andrew Macmillan, next year marks the 10th anniversary since MMS first started and the move to BookSource is testament to its growth over the past decade.
For BookSource the move marks a broadening of its business as MMS becomes the first “stable” of publishers it has partnered with in this way since its inception in 1995. The addition of the MMS list marks another significant acquisition for the Publishing Scotland subsidiary, who recently began distribution for Sussex based G2 Entertainment.

It’s been a tough couple of years due to Covid-19 and Brexit and the added pressure, in February 2021, of searching for a new distributor was a problem we could have done without! We’ve been so impressed with their fabulous can-do attitude and definitely believe that we’ve made the right choice for our publishers!”
MMS titles will be available to backorder at BookSource from Thursday 1st July with fulfilment beginning on Monday 19th July.
